The Champagne Cave at Hotel Eventi – A Kimpton Property

New York City Drinks Trade & Media are invited to kick off the 5th Annual New York Champagne Week at ‘The Champagne Cave’ at Hotel Eventi – A Kimpton Property presented by Champagne Devaux and Champagne Jacquart.

Be transported to the Aube vineyards of the Côte des Bar where chalky and hard limestone champagnes like Devaux reign.
Known as a premium, flagship brand representing the lesser known southern eastern most part of the region famous for its Pinot Noir, sip through Champagne Devaux’s full range from their Classic Cuvees to the amazing aged 5 years collection D, while noshing on fresh seafood and seaside bites.

‘On the other side’ of the cave, experience the wines of Champagne Jacquart helmed by female winemaker, Floriane Eznack. Champagne Jacquart, based in the heart of Reims, reveals a range of wines highlighting the Chardonnay grape. Come enjoy this contemporary House’s full range, from the Brut to the prestige cuvee Alpha, with cheese and charcuterie pairings. As Eznack claim Jacquart is all about the “mosaic’ of grapes that make up her wines: various cooperative growers in the region working together to grow the best fruit to combine and create top notch quality wines.

The 5th Annual New York Champagne Week VIP Opening Party at Giulietta’s Cantina Club

7 pm – 9 pm
We can’t believe it’s been 5 years since starting New York Champagne Week! Join us for this exclusive VIP opening night invitation as we pop countless bottles of Champagne Boizel, also celebrating their official New York City launch. Export Manager, Gabriel Fay will be making a special appearance showcasing the full range of Boizel’s cuvées while cheese, charcuterie and assorted cicchetii will be circulating the energetic room. Come celebrate 5-years! of fizz fueled fun with us.

Founded in 1834 by a Champagne family passionate about the wines of its region, the Boizel House was established in Épernay, in the heart of the Champagne region. Intimate knowledge of the region, passed on through the generations, and access to grapes from the finest cru sites, are the essential elements behind the Boizels’ elegant portfolio. Champagne Laculle Happy Hour at Martina

4 pm – 6 pm
Hit East Village’s new hot spot, Martina Pizzeria for a Poppin’ Bottles Pizza Party. Chef Nick Anderer will be churning out pizzas created to perfectly pair with Champagne Laculle. From 4 pm – 6 pm pizzas will be piling out of the brick oven while bottles of Champagne Laculle Brut & Rosé Brut will be poppin’. A perfect post-work champagne laden happy hour indeed.

The Laculle family has been making Champagne in the small village of Chervey, nestled in the Cotes des Bars for the past three centuries. The family’s winemaking activity dates back to 1789. From this year of the French Revolution onward, each generation has followed in the family’s winemaking footsteps. Patrick took over the family business in 1980, he exclusively uses his own grapes off of his small, 10 hectare vineyard. He is very passionate about his wines.

La Caravelle Ladies Lunch at L’Amico at Hotel Eventi – A Kimpton Property

Join Champagne Dame, Rita Jammet of La Caravelle Champagne for the 2nd Annual La Caravelle Ladies Lunch at L’Amico restaurant in the Hotel Eventi – A Kimpton Property. A curated crop of leading Champagne lovin’ ladies in the wine business will be invited to delight in an afternoon of delicious food by Chef Laurent Tourondel selected to perfectly pair with the bubbly wines a la Caravelle.

Bourbon & Bubbles 2.0 at Flinders Lane

10 pm – 12 midnight

Hudson Whiskey National Brand Ambassador, Han Shan and New York Champagne Week Founder, Blaine Ashley, team up to host an industry late-night fete. We’ll be serving up bubble backs (inspired by the infamous pickle back), Champagne Whiskey cocktails and neat pours of Champagne Bulle de Rêve. Bites like Flinders Lane signature sausage rolls, bao buns and sliders will be served. And, DJ spun dance party worthy beats will pumping.
